Senior Vice President BMW Group Design
Adrian van Hooydonk graduated from TU Delft, Industrial Design, in 1988. He continued his studies in Switzerland where he studied Automotive Design at the Art Center College of Design.
He began his career at BMW as a designer. After a few years in America working for the renowned DesignworksUSA, he was appointed Director of Design at BMW in 2004. Today, as Senior Vice President of BMW Group Design, van Hooydonk is ultimately responsible for 700 designers and the design of Rolls-Royce, Mini and BMW. In 2014, he received the first-ever Global Innovation Award from the Dutch Creative Industry for his achievements for the Dutch creative industry. He is also an honorary member of the Professional Organization of Dutch Designers.
